Mother's Day Card

Hello my fabulous friends! Today I have a Mother's Day card for you. I just love this stamp set and have been wanting to use it for a while now.

I used a  White Daisy card base. I then cut a piece of  Slate at 5 1/4 by 1 1/2 and ran it through the Cuttlebug using a bricked embossing folder. I distressed the bricks by running a sponge with  Smokey Plum ink over them.

I stamped the woman on White Daisy with Smokey Plum and did a fair amount of distressing around the edges with Smokey Plum as well. The trim was done the same and then fussy cut and placed just above the slate bricks.

The roses were stamped in 2nd generation Smokey Plum then "Rocked 'n Rolled" in  Sweet Leaf . I just LOVE this stamping technique!

For the sentiment, I used Sweet Leaf and then mounted it to a piece of White Daisy that I distressed with Smokey Plum. I also added three sparkles from the Sparkles Clear Assortment next to the woman.

I am entering this card in the  Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #92 challenge and the  Bitten by the Bug 2 Mother's Day challenge.

Hope you enjoy my card and have an INSPIRED day! :)

Birthday Balloons Card

Hello everyone!

Today I have a Birthday card I made using stamps from the  Artiste and  Art Philosophy collections.

I made this card for a friend whose birthday is this weekend. The balloons are from the Artiste collection and the sentiment is from the Art Philosophy collection. I used the Rock ‘n’ Roll Stamping technique on the balloons that you can see here:

I used a versamark pen to draw the ribbons on the balloons and embossed with silver powder. You can't really see it in the photo but I also outlined the balloons with versamark and used clear embossing powder.

I stamped a sentiment on the inside and WaLa, all done!

I am entering this card in  Case This Sketch CTS #74. Here's the sketch

Thanks for viewing and hope you have an INSPIRED day!

Time Flies Card

Hello Everyone! Today I have a Time flies card for you.

The border and banner are from the Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge and the flower clock is from the French Manor cartridge.  The dragonfly is from the retired Garden Wooden Shapes embellishments from Close To My heart. I added some sparkles to it using the retired Sparkles Blue & Green Assortment.

The flowers and button are also retired embellishments from Close To My Heart. For the "Time flies" I used a font on my PC called blackadder ITC and attached it to the banner through Cricut Design Space. After my Explore was done, I used the Cricut marker to fill in the lettering.

I then stamped some borders to the inside in third generation Lagoon. This stamp is a retired Stamp of the Month from Close To My heart.

I've entered this card in the following challenges:
Heart 2 Heart - Sweet Leaf & Lagoon
Paper Craft Crew - Sketch
Paper Crafting - No pattern paper
We Do Doobadoo - embellishment (dragonfly, flowers, button, sparkles)

I had actually planned on using an embossing folder on the Sweet Leaf background and stamping the Sweet Leaf clock with a pattern, but for some silly reason once I cut it I just went straight to assembling! I guess I just got way ahead of myself, but I liked the way it turned out anyway and I hope you do too.

Hope you have an INSPIRED day!

Bird Mother's Day Card

Hello Everyone! Today I have a bird card that I made for Bitten By The Bug 2. The challenge this week was to use a bird in our projects. This was perfect for me because my boyfriend's mom LOVES birds so that makes this a great time to make a bird Mother's Day card for her. YAY!
The bird image is from the French Manor Cricut cartridge.
The sparkles are from the Sparkles Clear Flourishes embellishments from Close To My Heart.
I used a coordinating patterned paper behind the bird.
I stamped some flowers and "Happy Mother's Day" on the inside.
I just LOVE how it turned out.
Hope you enjoyed my card and have an INSPIRED day!

Challenge Inspired Birthday Card

Hello Out There! Today I had some fun making a birthday card with CAS(E) this Sketch and Runway Inspired Challenges! They have joined forces this week to do a combo challenge. I'm excited about this one because it is quite a bit different from my usual. I had a lot of fun and hope you like the results.
For this double challenge we were provided with a runway look AND a sketch to use as inspiration! Here they are:

I think you can probably tell where the elements in my card came from! :)
I used White Daisy for the card base, cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4" to create a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card. I then cut a 4 x 5 1/4 black mat. I used the Cricut Design Space to create the diamond pattern and the flower circle using these shapes:

The Argyle is from the Artiste cartridge cut in Slate cardstock. I then ran the cut through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The Flowers are from the Art Philosophy cartridge cut in both Pacifica and an orange patterned paper from COLORBOK. I don't actually recommend this paper do to how thin it is, but I've still got a couple pattern packs of it laying around. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the retired promotional "Cloud Nine" set and is stamped in Pacifica on White Daisy card stock then fussy cut and attached with a pop-dot.
The butterflies and dragonfly are from the retired Garden Wooden Shapes from Close To My Heart. I added some sparkles to them using the Sparkles Black & Grey Assortment and the retired Sparkles Blue & Green Assortment.
On the inside I stamped this Dr. Seuss sentiment and the cake from the retired promotional "You Are My Happy" stamp set.
It's a bit different from my usual style but I definitely love how it turned out!
Hope I've helped you to have an INSPIRED day!

Sending Love Card

Hello Out there! Today I have a card for you made for the Heart 2 Heart Sketch challenge.
I needed to create a card using the sketch pictured here, on the left. I really enjoyed this sketch challenge. Often figuring out my layout can be the most difficult part for me so it was nice having that already done. I used Colonial White for the card base, cut at 5" x 10" and scored at 5" to create a 5X5 card. The patterned mat is cut at 4 3/4" square. The corners and oval were cut using these shapes:
from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut® Cartridge. I ungrouped the corners and only kept the solid piece. I then created four using Colonial White sized at 1.9" x 1.9" and another four using patterned cardstock sized at 1.65" x 1.65". The oval was sized to 3 3/4" wide by 2 1/2" high and cut with Colonial White and Barn Red cardstock. All patterned papers are from the retired CTMH My Reflections Victory Collection. I distressed all paper edges with Chocolate.
The stamped image and sentiment are from the CTMH Lifting Spirits stamp set. The clouds are stamped in third generation Pacifica. The plane and banner are both stamped in Pear. The sentiment is first generation Pacifica. I colored the plane using CTMH Sweet Leaf and Sunset Markers.
Thanks for joining me and hope you have an INSPIRED day!
